Terms of engagement

This website
This website is published for information. Reading it, using a calculator on it, or completing a Meter does not create an advisory relationship, and nothing here is financial, tax, legal or investment advice. Advice is given only under a signed engagement, once we understand your actual circumstances.
The tools
Calculators and Meters use standard formulas applied to figures you supply. They are indicative. They do not see your books, your policies or anything you did not type in, and they should be checked against your actual records before you act on them. We publish the reasoning behind each one so you can judge it rather than trust it.
How engagements are scoped
We do not publish a rate card. Every engagement is scoped after a diagnostic conversation, and you receive a written proposal setting out what is included and what it costs before anything is signed. Nothing is chargeable before you accept that proposal.
What we do and do not undertake
- We undertake to do the work in the proposal, to the professional standard applicable to it, and to tell you promptly when something is going wrong.
- We do not guarantee outcomes that are not ours to guarantee — that a lender will approve a facility, that an investor will invest, or that an investment will produce a particular return.
- Licensed work is signed by the relevant panel professional, whose own professional obligations and liability apply to that work.
Your part
Our work depends on the completeness and accuracy of what you give us. Where information is incomplete, late or incorrect, we will say so, and it may affect what we can deliver and when.
Confidentiality
Every engagement runs under a signed confidentiality agreement. Access is limited to the people actually working on your matter.
Ending an engagement
Either side may end an engagement on reasonable written notice. On termination we hand over your records and any work in progress; fees are payable for work already done.
Governing law
These terms and any engagement under them are governed by the laws of India, with jurisdiction in the courts of Delhi.
