Small team, real client contact, no hiding behind a process
We are not hiring at volume and are unlikely to be. When we do, this is the kind of work it is.
What the work is
Most of it is either sitting with a client’s numbers until they make sense, or explaining what you found to someone who is not an accountant. Both matter equally. Neither is glamorous.
You will speak to clients early. On a team this size there is no layer between you and the person whose business it is, which is the best and hardest part of the job.
Who it suits
- You would rather say "I don’t know, I’ll find out" than guess convincingly.
- You can explain a working capital problem to someone who has never heard the phrase.
- You notice when a number looks wrong before anyone asks you to check it.
- You are comfortable telling a client something they did not want to hear.
